Lightweight Scooters: Payment options, what's best for you?
Skip to navigation menu Skip to mainPurchasing a new mobility aid can be daunting with so many options and considerations. We understand that one important factor is whether this product is affordable for you. At Cavendish Health Care, we want the very best for our customers, not only to give them their freedom and independence but to offer security with a product that is reliable and has longevity.
When thinking about buying a long-term product, it is certainly worth spending that little extra for the quality you deserve. You should not compromise on what you need, all because of a price tag. We want to make sure all options for purchasing are explored so that you can get the product right for you.
It is always good to have a budget in mind whilst researching mobility aids, but the importance of choosing a product that will suit you and provide the comfort and capability needed to support your lifestyle must be part of the equation.
Financing the purchase is clearly a defining point, so let us help you understand the benefits of each option. There are 3 paths to choose from:
Although a brand-new mobility product can be a big investment, you will have a wider selection to choose from. With protection from the manufacturer’s warranty, you are ensured longevity in something new over something old. (You could even find something blue!) Your product would also contain brand new batteries, enabling you to experience the range and life that mobility aids are designed for! Cavendish Health Care adds long term support to the package and at no extra cost. We provide servicing and repairs in our workshop and have a team of friendly advisors who are only a call away if you have any questions or would like advice.
So… What other way is there to reap the benefits of a brand-new product, but at a more affordable price? Finance! This is a new option Cavendish Health Care can now offer, to help more customers get the right product, with monthly instalments. For more information, rates or the terms and conditions, please contact our Waterlooville office on 02392 255 600. Mobility scooters on finance helps breakdown the overall cost, allowing you to pay monthly whilst enjoying your product from the very beginning.
Purchasing second hand is a path we recommend taking when looking for a short-term solution. We agree that preloved products will have the lowest price, but it can also have the highest risks. Second hand options can be poor quality and therefore more likely to fail, wear out or not be fit for your purpose. We implore you to ask plenty of questions, and most certainly be aware of ‘sold as seen’ sellers, whether purchasing through a reputable dealer or private individual. It is always worth checking if there is any warranty left, and what conditions the batteries are! You may find it more affordable to purchase new mobility scooter batteries separately and just have a second-hand frame. This option may lead you back to our first path, as it may get pricey replacing parts.
“Buy in haste, repent at leisure,”
“Buy quick, buy twice.”
Don’t forget, no matter which path is right for you, we always recommend adding mobility scooter insurance to your product, to protect it from theft and accidental damage, as well as protecting you with Public Liability.
If none of the above suits your circumstances, and if a short-term solution if what you required, it may be worth considering mobility hire instead!
